PARTNERSHIP PURPOSE & HISTORY

UNICEF – As per the Country Programme 2020-2023, proposed $53 million budget (2020 – 2023) programme focusing on 1) Systems Strengthening, 2) Early Childhood Development, 3) Quality and Learning, and 4) ensuring Adolescents, especially girls, have access to learning. Currently the Grant Agent for the $17.2million Global Partnership for Education programme which aims to address; 1) Expansion of quality Early Childhood Development and Learning, 2) Improvement of early grade learning outcomes, and 3) System strengthening through data collection, management and utilization including establishment of a Learning Assessment Unit.
Other priorities in 2020 will focus on evidence generation and data management (OOSC study, Education Sector Analysis to provide information for the development of the Education Sector Plan, Action Research on addressing SRGBV, Violence Against Children in Schools, mapping of Adolescent education opportunities), and ensuring the most vulnerable children have access to quality education.
